At Sunnyside Gourmet we are local, sustainable, and global. We bring a wide variety of ethnic cuisines to your table using locally-sourced, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients. Our executive chef and former journalist and motorcycle racer, Tony Avirgan, has visited more than 50 countries around the world and in each has enjoyed regional dishes and collected the best recipes.
Tony's favorite recipes include Eggplant with Buttermilk Sauce and Pomegranates, Black Pepper Tofu, Watermelon Gazpacho, and Swordfish Tagine.
Sunnyside Gourmet will work with you to make your special event truly memorable because of the exotic, delicious food that you served. We will make suggestions and are happy to modify dishes to accommodate finicky palates or dietary requirements.
Sunnyside Gourmet is a licensed catering service and Chef Tony is a Certified Food Service Manager by the Montgomery County, Maryland Department of Health. We will prepare anything except for dishes that involve animal cruelty, such as foie gras, or unsustainable seafood.
